Ventanilla de Salud (Health Window) was created by the Mexican Consulate as a collaboration between government and private organizations to eliminate barriers to healthcare in the tristate area’s Mexican population.

Our Services

Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Immigrant Health and Cancer Disparities Service partners with the Mexican Consulate to provide community education and referrals to primary care and other healthcare providers through the following:

  • Health fairs at the Mexican Consulate and throughout New York City
  • Case management
  • Assistance with enrollment in health insurance plans
  • Free cancer screenings and referrals
  • Health Education Workshops

We are also working to combat cervical cancer in the Mexican community, through referrals for Pap testing and programs to increase human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates. We are working with Latino community members on preventative health measures designed to improve their health and prevent the onset of illnesses that are more common among Latino immigrants.
