
Gerald A. Soff
Gerald A. Soff has joined Memorial Sloan Kettering as Director of the Benign Hematology Program in the Department of Medicine and a member of the Hematology Disease Management Team. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of thrombotic diseases as well as hemorrhagic disorders, and his research involves the interaction of the coagulation system and cancer. Dr. Soff earned his MD degree in 1981 from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and did his residency training at the Medical College of Virginia. He subsequently was a hematology/oncology fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston. Prior to joining Memorial Sloan Kettering, Dr. Soff was Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology.
