Hilary J. Libka is VP, Associate General Counsel & Chief IP Counsel for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases, and Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research (collectively “MSK”) in New York, New York. She advises MSK leadership, faculty, and staff on IP acquisition, protection, portfolio development, branding, policymaking, freedom-to-operate, enforcement, and contract and regulatory compliance. She also negotiates complex transactions, oversees research contracting, and manages disputes over inventorship, ownership, sponsorship, validity, infringement, diligence, and revenue sharing.

Prior to joining MSK in 2021, Hilary held the same title at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts. Her other legal experience includes positions at Cooley LLP, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and The Hastings Center, a nonpartisan ethics research institution.

Hilary received a JD cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School and a BS cum laude in biomedical engineering from the Columbia University Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. She is a registered patent attorney.
