Marie-Josée Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE)

Supporting female scientists and promoting gender equity in science at MSK

Welcome to Kravis WiSE

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has long recognized the vital importance of recruiting and supporting top female scientists. Today, women conduct a wide range of clinical and laboratory research at MSK and are leaders at all levels in the organization. Despite this progress, more needs to be done to close the gender gap in research and career opportunities.

Toward that goal, MSK has created the Marie-Josée Kravis Women in Science Endeavor (WiSE). This wide-ranging initiative provides essential, sustained funding for trainees, as well as mentoring and professional development to women pursuing careers in biomedical research at MSK. It will help ensure that talented MSK women reach their greatest potential in their pursuit of scientific excellence.

Kravis WiSE is made possible by a generous philanthropic gift from Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis. MSK is deeply grateful to Kravises for their long-standing dedication to supporting science and scientists at MSK.
