Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Cancer Biology

The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.

NIH-funded post-doctoral position is available at the Rudin Laboratory for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working individual to conduct research in cancer biology and metastasis. The laboratory at MSK, directed by Charles Rudin MD PhD, is broadly interested in the development and testing of novel therapeutic approaches to lung cancer in preclinical models including patient-derived xenografts.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in cell/cancer biology, immunology, metastasis, molecular biology, multicolor flow cytometry, disease models (cell culture, organoids, xenografts, and animal models), proteomics/genomics, and/or informatics. The candidates are also encouraged to explore new research areas and seek independent funding as part of their own career development.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A PhD or MD/PhD within the last three years
  • A proven academic publication track record, including first-authored publications at high profile journals
  • Excellent scientific, organizational, record-keeping, problem-solving skill
  • (Preferred but not required for application): an established expertise in computational biology
