Additional support will provide MSK scientists and doctors with the resources they need to better understand epigenetic processes and develop new therapeutic strategies. The CER is grateful to the following donors whose significant gifts have been instrumental to the Center’s launch and early success.

CER was launched by MSK leadership in 2015, and over the years, CER has been supported with $3.7 million from Cycle for Survival. Cycle for Survival is the movement to beat rare cancers. Through team stationary cycling events and more, participants across the country raise money for rare cancer research led by MSK.

The Ambrose Monell Foundation, based in New York City, funds research and social initiatives that can build a more creative, equitable, and innovative society. For more than 60 years, The Ambrose Monell Foundation has generously supported MSK’s mission, with particular focus on the most promising cancer research of the day. In 2019, The Ambrose Monell Foundation made a commitment of $1 million to CER’s Epigenetics Innovation Laboratory, a core resource for investigators pursuing epigenetics research across MSK.

The Metropoulos Family Foundation’s belief is that ultimate fulfillment in life comes from contributing to humanity through education, medical research, and protection of the environment. In 2020, the Foundation made a gift of $2 million to the CER to support creative and innovative research in epigenetics. The Metropoulos Family Foundation is committed to continuing its financial support of this cutting-edge research, which will bring new hope to patients with cancer at MSK and beyond.
