Eligibility

• This application is open to individuals from gender, racial, ethnic, and other groups underrepresented in the life sciences. This includes, but is not limited to, women of any ethnic or racial group as well as any individual identifying as Hispanic, Black, Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander, or American Indian / Alaska Native; and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Currently enrolled as a senior in college with plans to take gap time before applying to medical/graduate school.
• U.S. citizen or hold a permanent resident visa.

Program Timeline

• Applications Due: end of October (~8 weeks prior to start)
• Acceptance Notification: mid-November
• Program Orientation: January

Application Process

The following documents must be submitted with your application:

• Resume
• Copy of undergraduate transcript (interim)
• Recommendations from pre-med/grad advisor and at least one science teacher.  The letter should mention a student’s previous scientific experience in a lab and knowledge of biological concepts as well as the student’s commitment to pursing a graduate degree (MD, MD/PhD, PhD).
