2023

GMTEC Symposium

On January 18, 2023 we held the Alan and Sandra Gerry Metastasis and Tumor Ecosystems Symposium featuring a wide range of talks covering metastasis and tumor ecosystems. Our Keynote was Dr. Julio Aguirre-Ghiso, the Rose Falkenstein Chair in Cancer Research, Endowed Professor of Cell Biology and Founding Director of the Cancer Dormancy & Tumor Microenvironment Institute at the Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center and Co-Director of the Gruss-Lipper Biophotonics Center.

2022

On Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 GMTEC organized a Distinguished Seminar via Zoom.  Our speaker, Kornelia Polyak, M.D., Ph.D., gave a seminar entitled Cell Autonomous and Non-Cell-Autonomous Drivers of Metastasis with an introduction by GMTEC Executive Director, Joan Massagué, PhD and a Q&A session led by GMTEC Scientific Director, Dana Pe’er, PhD.  The 2022 GMTEC Distinguished Seminar was very well attended.
